The Hawai?i Visitors & Convention Bureau (HVCB) is a private, non-profit, 501-C-6 Corporation headquartered in the Waik?k? Business Plaza at 2270 Kal?kaua Avenue, Suite 801 Honolulu, Hawai?i, on the Hawaiian island of O?ahu in Waik?k?. As a Visitor & Convention Bureau, it is contracted on a four-year basis to market the Islands under the auspices of the Hawai?i Tourism Authority, which has global oversight for the State in matters concerning the visitor industry.

Funding

HVCB receives its funding from various sources, including:

  • The State of Hawai?i (Hawai?i Tourism Authority) for development of local conventions and tourism
  • Membership dues from local hospitality-related businesses

Services

HVCB serves three main functions:

  1. Official visitor industry marketing arm of The State of Hawai?i in the North America Major Market Area (U.S. & Canada) and Internationally through the following island visitor bureau chapters: Big Island Visitors Bureau, Kaua?i Visitors Bureau, L?na?i Visitors Bureau, Maui Visitors Bureau, Moloka?i Visitors Association and O?ahu Visitors Bureau.
  2. Point of contact for Corporate Meetings & Incentives planners in conjunction with the Hawai?i Convention Center.
  3. Provide visitors to Hawai?i with resources linking them to accommodations, transportation, local historic, cultural and recreational sites, events and dining. Tourists may visit the bureau during regular office hours to receive information, maps and brochures.
